Microsoft ActiveX Plug-in Read Me
ActiveX controls, now supported natively in Internet Explorer 3.01 for Macintosh, are similar to other browser plug-ins, but offer additional functionality such as transparent download and support for the Component Object Model (COM) open standard. The ActiveX Plug-in allows Internet Explorer 2.1 and other browsers that do not have native ActiveX support (such as Netscape¬ Navigator) to download and run ActiveX controls.
Note: Internet Explorer 3.01 for Macintosh does not require this plug-in because it has native ActiveX support.
To install the ActiveX plug-in:
Ñ Place the ActiveX Plug-in into the Plug-ins folder of your browser.
